Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Makes Emotional Final Radio Call After 30+ Years of Service
There are a lot of trendy kinds of things on social media these days. You know what I'm talking about, things like gender reveals and Hoco proposals.
However, nothing quite gets me in the feels like when a retiring law enforcement officer gives their final radio call.
One such moment happened over the weekend when Deputy Glen Menard with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office gave his last transmission.
Sheriff Mark Garber released the following statement in regards to Deputy Menard's retirement:
We thank Deputy Menard for his service. He has done an outstanding job for the public throughout his career. Your service has been very valuable, and we are looking for more people like him serving.
Menard says he plans to enjoy his retirement with family and friends as he continues camping and Cajun dancing.
From everyone in Acadiana, congratulations on your retirement Deputy Menard.
