Lafayette Police Identify Homicide Victim

Lafayette Police detectives have identified the 23-year-old woman found dead in her Taft Street home Sunday night as Kyla Holt.

Detectives say their suspect, 25-year-old James Montgomery Ozbin of Breaux Bridge, took his own life in St. Martin Parish on Sunday.

Police say that Holt died from a stab wound.

Lafayette Police say their investigation is still going on at this time, and they have teamed up with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office to work the case.

Holt was found by someone concerned for her welfare, and they found her dead.
