The Lafayette Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying several individuals in regards to the looting and fighting that occurred at Citi Trends in the early hours of Monday, August 24.

The now-viral video happened after a weekend of protests in Lafayette following the fatal officer-involved shooting of 31-year-old Trayford Pellerin. A large crowd gathered in the large parking lot near the site where Pellerin was shot and killed.

At some point, looting began at the Citi Trends clothing store, and later gunshots were fired. Two individuals were injured and taken to local hospitals.
