It's time for us to have a serious conversation about the Sugar Daddies in South Louisiana.

Before we go any further, I think we have to define what a Sugar Daddy is for those who may not be familiar with the term. A Sugar Daddy is "a rich older man who lavishes gifts on a young woman in return for her company or sexual favors. Or, an older boyfriend with financial benefits."

Now that we're all clear on the definition, let's take a look at this report from SeekingArrangement.com, the world's largest Sugar Daddy dating site. Their data recently determined that Downtown Houston has the highest concentration of Sugar Daddies in the entire state of Texas.

182 Sugar Daddies are registered on the site from Downtown followed by Boulevard Oaks at 144 and Spring at 138. Shockingly, one of the “rich” areas of town such as River Oaks didn’t even crack the top 5 as it lands at No. 8 on the list.

A key takeaway from the report is that, contrary to what most people may believe, the largest amount of Sugar Daddies didn't come from the richest areas of town. So if you were thinking that all the Sugar Daddies were in River Ranch, you're probably way off.

But if they aren't hanging in the Ranch, then where are they? We asked Twitter and Red's was one of the first replies that we got.

Big D stopped by the studio and told us about a place called "Boo-sta" (???) in Carencro. Numerous callers (off the record, of course) chimed in with local bars like Murphy's Law, Dix, 501, Cowboys Saloon, Twin Peaks and other "oilfield hangouts" as one caller put it.

I've personally had female friends and acquaintances who have been on the receiving end of a Sugar Daddy situation, and I will openly admit that I can't blame them or pass any judgment. But the question around the studio remains: Where are all the Sugar Daddies in Acadiana at?

Does it line up with what we see happening in Houston? I'm genuinely interested to see the replies and I'll definitely be updating this post with your feedback.
