Lafayette Teen Who Fell From Orange Beach Condominium Balcony Identified

17-year-old Ian Blanco, a student from Lafayette High School, has been identified as the person who died after falling from a condominium balcony in Orange Beach, Alabama, this week.

Our news partners at KATC say they learned of his identity from relatives. Orange Beach Assistant Police Chief Greg Duck says Blanco was found Tuesday morning in the parking lot of Tidewater condominium complex.

This is the second time this summer that a teenager from Louisiana has died after falling from a condominium balcony. Last month an 18-year-old from Thibodaux was found dead in a pool after either jumping or falling from the 16th floor of the condo where he was staying.
