Louisiana Marine Killed In Rollover Accident At San Diego’s Camp Pendelton
SAN DIEGO (AP) — Officials say the Marine killed in a truck rollover during training at a California base is a 21-year-old from Louisiana.
The Marine Corps said in a statement Friday night that the man who died in Thursday night's accident at Camp Pendleton is Cpl. Bryan Michael Lauw of Denham Springs.
The statement says Lauw was an anti-tank missileman from the 1st Marine Division who during his career had served aboard an amphibious assault ship in Central America and South America.
Eighteen other Marines were injured — six of them critically — when a multi-ton truck carrying them during a routine training exercise flipped on a paved road at the base.
