The two questions we've been getting here at the radio station about the weather the past few days are those that we have highlighted in our headline.

How much is it going to rain and how cool is it going to be. We'll do our best to answer those questions for you so you can plan your day and your weekend.

As far as the rain goes, Dave Baker has posted a 40% chance of showers in the daylight forecast for today. Tonight that rain probability jumps  up to 70% as the cold front begins to work its way close to the area. By tomorrow the front will be pushing through Acadiana and the rain chances and the temperatures will start to drop. It could be quite chilly for high school football Friday night.

The temperatures behind the front are not Arctic by any stretch of the imagination but when your body is used to 90 degree plus, then the low 50's will feel quite chilly. As of right now the low 50's is about as low as we will go temperature wise. That temperature should occur sometime Saturday morning. The weekend looks to be spectacular for football, shopping, festivals or doing just about anything you'd like to do outside.
