Changes are coming to the Lafayette weather forecast but they most likely won't affect the area until Tuesday. The current radar scan shows a little shower activity on shore in South Louisiana with more widespread rain over the Gulf of Mexico.

This is part of a low pressure system that is sliding south of the area and it could kick up some rain for the final day of Festival International in downtown Lafayette. Forecasters have the rain chances at about 40% for today.

Monday music lovers will be flocking to the Cajundome for the sold out Carrie Underwood, Hunter Hayes concert. The good news for concert goers is that rain chances will be minimal and temperatures will be mild so there will be no need for coats or umbrellas.

Tuesday is when the forecast takes a turn to the wet side. Rain chances will be 60% or better with a passing frontal system. There could be some thunderstorms associated with storm system as it moves through the area.

The rest of the week will be a mix of clouds and sun and a slight, 20%-30% chance of rain each day.
