The very wet tropical weather pattern that has basically obliterated any enjoyment of daylight savings time this week is just about to dry up and move away. A pesky trough of low pressure that has been sucking in moisture from the Gulf of Mexico most of the week will finally start to move away from the area later today. That means rain chances for the morning, but drier conditions and maybe a peek or two of sunshine for later today.

Dave Baker currently has the morning rain chance listed at 60% for Acadiana but that will diminish significantly to 20% by the 5 o'clock drive time.  The current rain chances for both Saturday and Sunday are  listed at 10% with a mix of clouds and sun forecast for both days. With forecast high temperatures expected to reach the middle 70's on Saturday, a huge crowd is expected for Patty in the Parc at Parc International on Saturday evening.

Sunday looks to be a similar forecast as Saturday's forecast. The  outlook for the beginning of the next work week is certainly much drier with rain chances anywhere from 10%-30%. Temperatures will be approaching the 80 degree mark by the middle of next week as more March like conditions move into the area.
