It looks like we are finally off of the temperature roller coaster for at least this week in Acadiana. The temperatures for the next few days will be much closer to normal than they were this past week. Also there won't be the large temperature swings from warm to very cold to warm again. The work week in Acadiana is shaping up to be mostly sunny and seasonable.

Many Ragin Cajun fans will be making the journey to New Orleans toward the end of the week to cheer the team on in the New Orleans Bowl. By late in the day Thursday you could be needing a giant red umbrella for your walks around the New Orleans French Quarter. Thank goodness there are so many places for Cajun fans to duck into to get out of the rain.

It does look as if there will be a chance of rain on Friday and that rain chance will stay with us in Acadiana and in the New Orleans area during the day Saturday too. While the current outlook does not call for a total washout nor a particular threat of severe weather it would be a good idea to pack the rain gear in your travel bag if you are making the trip down for any of the festivities before or after the game.
