New Iberia Police say they are looking for two suspects they believe are responsible for a shooting that took place there late Wednesday night. According to NIPD, the incident happened at an apartment complex in the 400 block of Pershing Street. In that incident, two people were wounded.

Warrants have been issued for two men believed to be connected with the shooting. Those men, Hunter Lowe and Jeramie Jackson Jr are wanted on various charges connected with the alleged crime.

Lowe is wanted on aggravated-second degree battery and solicitation of a prostitute charges. Jackson is wanted on a charge of attempted second-degree murder. The two victims in the case were both taken to a local hospital for treatment.
