Say what you will about former LSU head football coach Les Miles but he never lost to Troy. In fact if you look at the record books you will see that "The MadHatter" compiled a very impressive record while at the  helm of the LSU program.

Miles will be back in Tiger Stadium this Saturday when the Tigers host Auburn. It's all part of a ten year anniversary celebration of the 2007 LSU National Championship team. Coach Miles and about 65 or 70 players will be on hand for the festivities.

This will be Coach Miles first trip back to Tiger Stadium since he was dismissed from his position in 2016, ironically after a loss to Auburn. I would expect that most LSU fans will give Coach Miles a rather nice ovation. Especially when you consider the Tigers' success while he was in charge of the program.

Another reason fans, such as myself, will be glad to welcome Coach Miles back to LSU is the very classy way he handled his dismissal. If you recall there was a  lot of talk about firing Les long before the deed was done.

Coach Miles always took the high road. He has never spoken with ill will against the university, the team, or the program. At many other universities there would be a statue of him but since he couldn't beat Alabama on a regular basis. He is out of job.

The LSU Auburn game will be the featured game this week in the  Southeastern Conference. It will air at 2:30 PM Saturday afternoon on CBS television.
