MAGA Rapper’s ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Song Blowing Up on iTunes Charts as Anti-Biden Anthem
One rapper has flipped the latest Republican meme into a song that is at the top of the charts.
Loza Alexander is described as a "MAGA rapper" on social media but admits he only became a Trump fan last summer after talking to a friend after the fourth of July. Now, thanks to the latest anti-Biden meme, Alexander is going viral and has skyrocketed to the top of the iTunes charts with his song "Let's Go Brandon."
In case you haven't heard of the "Let's go Brandon" meme and how it relates to President Joe Biden, just go here for a quick recap.
If you don't feel like reading up on it, "Let's go Brandon" is the latest meme that has become popular amongst conservatives as well as those who haven't been satisfied with the job that Biden has done thus far as President.
It stems from a NASCAR interview where the crowd is clearly chanting "F*** Joe Biden" but the reporter interviewing racecar driver Brandon Brown claimed they were chanting "Let's go Brandon" in an attempt to draw attention away from the NSFW roars from the crowd.
Almost instantly, the video of the interview went viral on social media and the memes quickly followed. At that point, rapper Loza Alexander decided to flip the meme into a song.
He uses clips of the interview, along with sound bites of the actual chant in the song. He told a local news outlet that he hopes the song's lyrics "inspire people who may be feeling down due to job stress and the pandemic."
Loza's song "Let's go Brandon" instantly shot to the top of the hip hop chart on iTunes, and has now even surpassed Adele's brand new single "Easy on Me" to take the overall #1 spot on the iTunes charts.
Not only has he racked up over 3 million views on his video, but he's also gaining new followers due to the popularity of his meme-inspired song.
As always, time is of the essence in situations like this because there are other artists who have had the same idea for a track and they are also enjoying iTunes chart success right now with songs of the same name.
Songs from Forgiato Blow and Bryson Gray featuring Tyson James and Chandler Crump have also surfaced on YouTube and are quickly picking up steam on the iTunes charts.
Alexander also told 8 News Now that he's working on a full album. He's also releasing a full version of the song soon too.
