Lafayette Consolidated Government is once again holding their annual Storm Drain Art Contest to help beautify the city, bring attention to the importance of protecting the water quality of the Vermilion River, and support local artists.

The four winning designs for the Storm Drain Art Contest will be painted on storm drains at the Girard Park Recreation Center, E Alexander Street, South Louisiana Community College, and TownFolk Victory Garden.

According to LCG's press release, the winning artists will be compensated "after the installation is complete".

Students grade 7-12 are also encouraged to enter.
