UPDATE – List of Mandatory and Voluntary Acadiana Evacuations
As Acadiana braces for the impacts of Hurricane Laura, there are some mandatory and voluntary evacuation orders issued for our area.

Lafayette Parish
Lafayette Consolidated Government says residents south of I-10 should consider evacuating by Tuesday afternoon. LCG "strongly encourages" people living south of U. S. 90 to evacuate by Tuesday afternoon.
Acadia Parish
Church Point Police are asking residents who usually flood to evacuate.
Acadia Parish has issued a voluntary evacuation for parish residents south of Highway 90 in flood-prone areas. Those who live in unstable structures, including mobile homes and other structures that cannot withstand tropical or hurricane-force winds, are encouraged to evacuate immediately.
Cameron Parish
UPDATE - Governor Edwards - storm surge in Cameron Parish will be “unsurvivable.” Urges people to get out now.
The Cameron Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness, using weather information from all available sources regarding Laura, is now issuing a MANDATORY Order of Evacuation as of 8:00 AM on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, for ALL OF CAMERON PARISH due to Laura.

Calcasieu Parish
A mandatory evacuation for Calcasieu Parish. The order goes into place at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Iberia Parish
The Parish of Iberia has requested that residents consider voluntary evacuation if they:
1. Live in areas vulnerable to potential storm surges;
2. Have special needs;
3. Live in low-lying areas along lakes, bayous, streams and drainage structures that have experienced flooding in the past; and/or
4. Live in a structure that has experienced flooding following heavy rain events.
The Town of Delcambre has a Voluntary Evacuation for residents living in areas vulnerable to potential storm surges; have special needs; live in low-lying areas along the canal and drainage structures that have experienced flooding in the past; and/or live in a structure that has experienced flooding following heavy rain events. If residents are staying in their homes and are not evacuating, then they are asked to call City Hall or send a message on the Delcambre Facebook page messenger of your address and how many are in your home.
Jeff Davis Parish
Jefferson Davis Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness has issued a Voluntary Evacuation order for low lying areas and residents living in mobile homes.
No shelters are set up within the parish.
St. Martin Parish
Due to impending tropical storms Laura and Marco, and the potential for flooding, Parish President Chester Cedars has requested a voluntary evacuation for residents in the Stephensville/Belle River area of lower St. Martin Parish. The voluntary evacuation is necessary to afford any and all residents ample opportunity to evacuate the area because of the potential for high water conditions.

St. Mary Parish
UPDATE - Parish President David Hanagriff has issued a MANDATORY EVACUATION at 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 26 for areas South of Intracoastal Waterway including Ashton, Freetown Rd, Glencoe, Louisa, South of Hwy 83 at Cypremort Road, and residents along Kelly Canal.
Hanagriff says that if you had water for Barry / Rita or near the waterway, a voluntary evacuation is ordered.
A voluntary evacuation has been declared for all areas south of Intracoastal Waterway in St. Mary Parish due to the effects of Tropical Storm Marco and Tropical Storm Laura.

South of Hwy 83 @ Cypremort Road
Residents along Kelly Canal
Vermilion Parish
Vermilion Parish has also issued a mandatory evacuation for low lying areas. Pecan Island, Intracoastal City, Esther, Forked Island, and Mouton Cove, along with the following areas south of Hwy 14; South Erath, South Delcambre, and South Gueydan.
A mandatory evacuation for the East and West bank Plaquemines Parish, Golden Meadow in Lafourche Parish and Grand Isle in Jefferson Parish as well as locations there outside of the levee systems.
The Town of Gueydan is recommending that all residents consider voluntarily evacuating especially those living in areas vulnerable to potential storm surges, who have special needs, live in low-lying areas along the canal and drainage structures that have experienced flooding in the past
Kaplan
The Mayor of Kaplan is strongly encouraging residents to make the necessary arrangements now and evacuate.
Because of COVID-19, they do not expect FEMA or the Red Cross or any other support organization to be in town immediately after the storm.
