Louisiana AG Joins Suit to Open Keystone XL Pipeline

Louisiana's Attorney General Jeff Landry has filed suit to allow for the continued construction and operation of the Keystone XL Pipeline.

According to KALB, Louisiana has joined with at least 20 other states to file suit against the Biden administration's revocation of the Keystone permit.

The suit alleges, according to the story, that the current administration does not have the legal authority to cancel the project. Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry said that the Executive Order from President Biden "violates federal law and Constitutional safeguards".

In Landry's post to Facebook, he claimed that President Biden's actions are "designed to destroy our oil and gas industry, and thousands of jobs".  He also blames the rise in fuel prices on President Biden's executive order(s).

The lawsuit claims that the Executive Order limits each individual state's ability to govern within its own borders.
