Louisiana City Named Drunkest City in America

The good folks over at roadsnacks.com have crunched the numbers and have crowned one Louisiana city "The Drunkest City in America".

Louisiana has a rich cultural heritage that includes celebrations and traditions with a strong association with alcohol.

These events often involve drinking as part of the festivities.

Obviously Louisiana has Mardi Gras, but when Festival Season hits, we have our pick of music, food, and of course drinking.

Roadsnacks.com analyzed data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to identify the metropolitan areas with "the highest rates of binge and excessive drinking."

When the dust settled, one Louisiana city earned the title of "The Drunkest City in America".

And no, it's not New Orleans.

According to wagswoofs.com, Lafayette, Louisiana is officially "The Drunkest City In America".

Y'all...there are a lot of cities in the United States, and Lafayette is apparently the drunkest of them all.

This begs the questions...how, and why?
