Louisiana Lottery Confirms Where Winning Powerball Tickets Were Purchased
(Baton Rouge, LA) It has been a whirlwind of a weekend in the bouncing ball world that is life with the Louisiana Lottery. Over the weekend, the Louisiana Lottery participated in drawings for Mega Millions, Powerball, Lotto, and Easy 5. In two of those games, there were jackpot winners. In the Powerball game, Louisiana players earned big money with two different $50,000 wins.
Let's just go in order so we don't make a misstep. You might recall that a week ago, last Friday, we promised you that Mega Millions would get a jackpot winner. That game traditionally does not go beyond 40 drawings before it "finds a winner". We had the November 7th drawing as the 40th, but we miscounted; it was actually the drawing on the 15th that was the 40th, since the game had gotten a winner.

So basically, we are taking a long time to tell you that Mega Millions got a jackpot winner on Friday to the tune of $980 million, as we predicted it would. A new Mega Millions jackpot will begin on Tuesday. The starting amount for the jackpot is $50 million.

What Were Louisiana's Big Lottery Wins Over the Weekend?
On Saturday, the Louisiana Lottery held drawings for Lotto and Easy 5 in addition to participating in the multi-state lottery game Powerball. There was a jackpot winner in the Easy 5 game. The actual prize earned by the winning ticket was $210,738.
Our sources at the Louisiana Lottery confirmed the Easy 5 winner was purchased in Port Allen, Louisiana. If you bought an Easy 5 ticket at Nino's Truck Plaza for the November 15th drawing, you need to check those numbers; it could mean an incredible Christmas for you and your family.
There was no jackpot winner in the Louisiana Lottery's Lotto game. That game is an enigma wrapped in mystery. Based on similar calculations we used to accurately predict the Mega Millions win, the Lotto game should have been won twice. It's the best "lottery investment" on the board. A one-dollar wager will get you the chance to win $3.8 million on Wednesday. And yes, you would need to be incredibly lucky for that to happen.
Speaking of luck, the Powerball gods were finally smiling on Louisiana for Saturday's Powerball drawing. State-sold tickets won almost ten thousand prizes, but two tickets won the big money. In both cases, the tickets matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball.
Here's another similarity between the two $50,000 Powerball winners: they were purchased less than five miles from each other. One of the $50,000 winners was purchased at The Corner Market at 4950 Veterans Boulevard in Metairie, and the other was purchased at Lakeview Mini Mart in West Harrison in New Orleans.
In the case of the Powerball winners and the Easy 5 jackpot winner, you will need to contact the Louisiana Lottery to arrange prize pickup for your winnings. You have until May 14, 2026, to claim your prize.
Speaking of prizes that are about to expire, a $150,000 Powerball winner sold in Gretna for the July 23rd drawing will expire in a little over 60 days. I am just guessing that money would come in handy for Christmas, so you might want to go claim it.
Tonight's Powerball jackpot will be for an estimated $570 million for the annuitized jackpot. The cash payout for a Powerball win tonight is estimated to be $266.9 million.
