Lottery players around Louisiana have been buzzing over the past few days about the Mega Millions multi-state lottery game. Mega Millions is one of two mult-state games available to Louisiana players. The other is Powerball. Both games have created big winners in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Lake Charles. The bulk of Mega Millions winners come from along the I-10 corridor.

But that doesn't mean Mega Millions or Powerball can't create winners in the middle of the state or some of the state's smaller communities. Regardless of where you play Mega Millions, you're probably going to be interested in the changes that the game is making.

You can see a complete list of changes that will begin with Mega Millions as of April 8, 2025. Use this link.  The current Mega Millions rules and method of play will continue through April 4th. It is in the spirit of the current winning guidelines that we bring you some exceptional news. The Mega Millions lottery game had a jackpot winner on Tuesday night.

That was the drawing for Tuesday, March 25, 2025, and if you played you certainly want to check your tickets. We have confirmed through our sources at Mega Millions that a single ticket earned the game's top prize of $344 million. We have also confirmed two other major prize winners sold in Louisiana for Tuesday's game.

Here are the numbers from Tuesday's drawing if you'd like to check your tickets:

01   05   17   39   62   Mega Ball 08    Megaplier x2

After checking your ticket against those numbers if you feel you are holding a winner please go to the Official Louisiana Lottery website or the Official Mega Millions website to confirm your win. You will also find important prize redemption information on those sites as well.

Shortly after 1 this morning we were told that the jackpot winning ticket was sold in Illinois. That ticket is worth $344 million. Another ticket sold in Florida matched all five of the white ball numbers, that ticket is worth $1 million this morning.

Our sources at Louisiana Lottery confirmed that two tickets sold for Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball. By rule, the prize amount for that match scenario is $10,000. But one of the ticket purchasers opted for the Megaplier which doubled their prize to $20,000.

The $10,000 winning ticket was purchased in Independence Louisiana, at the Piggly Wiggly on West Railroad Avenue. Independence is in Tangipahoa Parish if you weren't sure about your Louisiana geography. The $20,000 winner was sold in a town that most of us are familiar with, that town is Shreveport.

The $20,000 Shreveport winner was purchased at the Raceway Gas Station/Convenience Store on East Bert Kouns in the city. Again that ticket matched four of five with the Mega Ball but opted for the Megaplier and it in this case it worked out well.

Powerball will provide your next chance at instant millions on Wednesday night. The jackpot in that game is estimated to be $484 million for the annuity or $228.1 for the lump sum or cash payout. The Louisiana Lottery will also host drawings for Lotto which features a top prize of $2.15 million tonight. They will also hold the Easy 5 drawing for tonight. The top prize in that game is $100,000.
