For most folks in Louisiana last night, Saturday night, was spent keeping an eye on the sky and the other eye on their favorite place to get weather information. In places like Pineville, Alexandria, Marksville and Monroe things got quite chaotic with thunderstorms. And according to our sources at the Louisiana Lottery, there was a "lucky" strike among all of those lightning strikes last night.

The good news about the weather is that the strong storms are now well off to our east. The bad news is that we'll have more strong storms in our forecast on Tuesday night, and then it gets really cold—no, seriously below-freezing cold. Fortunately, we have some growing lottery jackpots from Powerball, Mega Millions, and the state-grown games from the Louisiana Lottery like Lotto and Easy 5.

There was a Powerball drawing last night. It's the most popular draw game in Louisiana and if you played last night you'll be pleased to hear that a Louisiana-sold ticket earned a prize of $50,000. Let's see if you're holding that lucky ticket this morning.

Here is how Saturday's Powerball drawing played out.

The top prize for Saturday's drawing on February 15, 2025, was an estimated $172 million for the annuitized jackpot. The cash payout prize was estimated to be $79.4 million. Alas, both of those numbers will be growing as we approach Monday's drawing since no ticket purchased for last night's game matched the numbers needed to claim the jackpot prize.

There were no Match 5 Million Winners so that meant the game's top prize was a match scenario that involved four of five white balls and the Powerball. Three tickets across the game's footprint matched that with the Power Play invoked for a top prize of $100,000.

There were sixteen other tickets that matched four of five with the Powerball but did not invoke Powerplay. One of those tickets came from the Texas Lottery and another was earned by a Louisiana Lottery player who purchased their Powerball ticket in Chauvin, Louisiana.

That's down in Terrebonne Parish and the place that sold the big winner was Marty J's Truck Stop on Highway 96. Congratulations to them and the person who spent the money playing Powerball. That's a nice win on a $2 investment. It would have been even nicer with the Power Play but such is life and lottery, huh?

There were no jackpot wins in Lotto or Easy 5 on Saturday night so those games will play for jackpots of $1.5 million and $80,000 respectively when they draw again on Wednesday.

Your next chance at instant lottery millions comes on Monday night with another Powerball drawing. The jackpot should be close to $183 million by Monday night, that's an estimate by the way. Also, Mega Millions will have a nice jackpot to play for on Tuesday night. The Mega Millions top prize will be an estimated $145 million when they release the ping pong balls Tuesday night at 10.

LOOK: 35 Vintage Cereals That Perfectly Captured Pop Culture Moments

Movies and TV shows have always found ways to partner with cereal companies as part of their promotion strategy. While some may have come up with a giveaway in boxes, others went big by having their own cereal connected to the movie or TV show title. Here are vintage cereals that were used to promote some of pop culture's biggest moments (and some you probably forgot about).
