Louisiana Man Given 9 Month Sentence for Tossing Rock Through Government Window
A Louisiana man has been sentenced to nine months in prison for throwing a rock through a window of a Social Security Administration office.
The sentence was handed down on Wednesday for 38-year-old Bobby Joseph Hammond of Metairie.
Hammond had pleaded guilty to a charge of destruction of government property.
The incident happened on March. According to prosecutors, Hammond drove to the Social Security Administration office in Kenner, got out of his car, threw a rock through a second floor window then drove off.
Hammond was identified via video recorded of the incident.
In addition to his prison time, Hammond was ordered to pay more than $1,300 in restitution for the damage.
