In a video recently surfacing from a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans, Louisiana, one parade goer violently turns on the driver of a Tesla Cybertruck and begins pelting it with beads, fists, and profanity, smashing one of the windows.

Allegedly one of the passengers in the Cybertruck was also hit in the head and injured with heavy beads.

Tesla Cybertruck Attacked In Mardi Gras Parade

Cybertruck driver Josh Hazel was invited to transport parade marshals in his vehicle during this year's (2025) Orpheus parade in New Orleans, Louisiana.

What had began as a great night of fun turned into a nightmare for Hazel as numerous parade goers allegedly began throwing alcohol, full beer cans, beads, shouting slurs, and basically throwing any object they could find in hopes of damaging the Tesla Cybertruck.

As you'll see in the video, at one point on the parade route a spectator walks up to the Cybertruck with a handful of thick Mardi Gras beads and slings them so hard at the window of the vehicle he shatters glass on the truck.

Hazel tells Business Insider that children were also being encouraged to flip off the Tesla Cybertruck as some in the crowd called him and his passengers Nazis.

Josh Hazel is a veteran with over 20 years of service.

Hazel wasn't the only Tesla Cybertruck owner who's vehicle was attacked and damaged in the New Orleans' Mardi Gras parade.

A woman known only as Christina as to protect her anonymity was also transporting parade marshals in the parade, and her Tesla was attacked and damaged as well.

From zerohedge.com -

"The Business Insider article says that Christina’s Cybertruck suffered similar damage. 'People were pummeling the vehicle with an unknown heavy object that broke the top glass,' she said. 'It feels surreal.'

The group messaged parade organizers and contacted security but said it took over an hour to exit the route. 'We were really left to just sit and suffer,' Christina said. 'It felt like 40 days.'"

According to zerohedge.com, Hazel said the estimated damage to his Tesla Cybertruck is over $7,000, and Christina estimates her damage at over $2,000.

Along with video of his Tesla truck being attacked, Hazel commented -

"This is the guy that hit Amanda upside the head with the beads and shattered the B-Pillar glass trim. We are absolutely pressing charges. Unhinged hate and violence. He also berated the passengers and tried to break the windows and dent the truck."
