Louisiana Ticket Wins $150,000 in Monday Night Powerball Drawing
The treats came early for one Louisiana Powerball lottery player last night. The Louisiana Lottery has confirmed that a ticket sold in Louisiana was one of the game's biggest winners. The ticket matched the numbers needed to claim a prize of $150,000.
Last night, October 30, 2023, the Powerball multi-state lottery game held its Monday drawing. The game's top prize for last night was an estimated $138 million dollars. It was the eighth drawing the Powerball game has conducted since there was a jackpot winner of $1.76 billion dollars earlier this month.
If you didn't see the drawing on Monday night, here's how the ping pong balls bounced out of the hopper.
The numbers that were drawn for last night were:
19 22 34 66 69 Powerball 05 Power Play x3
You can confirm those numbers on the Powerball website. You'll also see via that site that no tickets sold across the Powerball game footprint matched the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize. So, that means when the next Powerball drawing is held on November 1st, the estimated top prize will be $152 million dollars.
The Texas Lottery confirmed via its website that there were no big money prize winners in the Lone Star State as far as last night's Powerball was concerned. Texas Lottery website says the largest prize won by a Texas-sold ticket last night was $300.
Meanwhile, in Louisiana, a lucky Powerball player managed to come as close to winning the game's largest prize as you can without actually winning it. Lottery officials in Louisiana say the ticket matched four of the five white balls, the Powerball, and they invoked the Power Play option on the game too.
By rule, that means that the ticket is worth $150,000 this morning. According to the Louisiana Lottery Big Wins page, the lucky Powerball ticket was purchased in Shreveport, Louisiana. It was bought at the Raceway Gas Station on Mansfield Road.
If you're holding that ticket we suggest you sign the back of it immediately. Your next step is to contact your local Louisiana Lottery office. They will explain how to redeem your prize.
Meanwhile, your next chance to become an instant millionaire will come with tonight's Mega Millions game. The jackpot for Mega Millions is estimated to be $159 million dollars. That drawing happens tonight at 10 p.m. By rule, ticket sales must cease at least one hour before the drawing occurs. The next Powerball drawing will be Wednesday night at 10 p.m.
