Consistent rainfall and two red zone turnovers couldn't slow down #5 LSU on Saturday night as they improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in SEC play with a thorough 45-16 victory over Ole Miss.

Quarterback Joe Burrow put together his best performance of the season, completing 18 of his 25 pass attempts for 292 yards and 3 touchdowns. He showed off his legs as well, leading the Tigers on the ground with 96 rushing yards and a 35 yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter.

LSU's offense picked apart an Ole Miss defense which has struggled all year, piling up 573 total yards (281 rushing, 292 passing).

They did it by spreading the wealth. Nine different Tigers caught at least 1 pass, while 8 players ran the ball.

Justin Jefferson (pictured) caught 2 touchdowns, ending the game with 5 receptions and 99 yards.

Ole Miss didn't make things difficult. The Rebels wracked up 162 penalty yards, displaying an undisciplined, careless brand of football periodically throughout the game.

LSU travels to Florida (4-1, 2-1) next Saturday for a matchup with the Gators. Kickoff in Gainesville is set for 2:30.
