The tenth-ranked LSU Tigers captured another SEC win on Friday night, defeating the Auburn Tigers, 11-3, in the middle game of a season-ending, three-game, conference series in Auburn, Alabama.

The win followed a 10-0 LSU victory on Thursday night, and sets the Tigers up to go for the series sweep in the three-game set on Saturday afternoon in the season finale.

LSU has now outscored Auburn, 21-3, in the first two games of the series

LSU scored one run in the second inning, and then five runs in both the fourth and fifth, as they coasted to the eight-run win.

Conner Hale led LSU at the plate, with three hits, while Tyler Moore and Jake Fraley each collected two hits, as LSU outhit Auburn, 12-9.

Aaron Nola (9-1) recorded his ninth win of the year for LSU, allowing five hits and one run over seven innings, along with nine strikeouts.

Michael O'Neal (3-5) suffered the loss for Auburn.

With the victory, LSU improved to 39-14-1, overall, and 16-11-1 SEC play, while Auburn fell to 28-27, overall, and 10-19 in league play.

The final game of the series, and the final game of the regular season, is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 1 o’clock.
