LSUE Down To Three Finalist For Chancellor’s Job
This time of year always seems to bring about changes in education administration. It's a natural occurrence as one school year ends and preparation for another one gets underway. In Eunice, the search committee formed to find a new chancellor for LSU Eunice is getting closer to announcing who their top candidate for the position will be.
According to reports, the finalists for the job are Nancee Sorenson, Dwight C. Watson, and Ron Dempsey. Each candidate has been on campus in Eunice and met with members of the search committee.
Dempsey is currently serving as Vice President for University Advancement at Winona State University. Sorenson is serving as President for the Brandon Campus of Hillsborough Community College. Watson is currently serving as Provost and Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Southwest Minnesota State University.
It is likely that one of these three candidates will be chosen to succeed Kimberly Russell left LSUE to become vice president for advancement at Texas Woman’s University. The University is currently under the direction of interim Chancellor Dr. William Crowe who came out of retirement to serve in that capacity in December of last year.
