As Louisiana's leaders contemplate moving the state forward in the COVID-19 recovery plan there has been an added emphasis on COVID testing. Especially since so many students have returned to college campuses across the state.

Louisiana State University at Eunice is one of those college campuses. Students have returned to class and to make sure that every who wants or needs to be tested has the option. The school in conjunction with the Louisiana National Guard will offer free testing at the school beginning today, Tuesday, September the 8th.

Testing will be held on select days between now and September the 23rd. Those wanting to receive a test will want to know that registration is required. It can be done in advance at DoINeedaCOVID19Test.com, however, onsite registration at the testing site will be available as well. All testing will be conducted at the Acadian Center. Participants are asked to enter the LSUE Campus from the Eas park lot along LSUE Drive.

The tests being offered are the self-swabbing tests. Those wanting to be tested will not need to present an insurance card or an ID for testing to take place. An announcement as to whether Louisiana will move into Phase 3 of the coronavirus recovery plan is expected to come later this week, in fact, it could come as early as today as the current orders from Governor John Bel Edwards are set to expire on Friday.
