Marble Slab Creamery and Great American Cookies Coming to New Iberia

New Iberia continues to grow in regards to new retail and shopping.

A Marble Slab Creamery along with Great American Cookies will be opening up locations later this year in the Bayou Landing Shopping Center on North Lewis Street.

Marble Slab Creamery is known for its freshly in-store made ice cream that comes in more than 75 flavors. And the best part is the mix-ins that are kneaded right in front of you on a cold stone.

Currently, there are no Marble Slab Creamery locations in Acadiana. A few years ago there was one on Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette, but it closed a while back.

Great American Cookies offers cookie cakes, gourmet cookies, brownies, Double Doozies (which are cookie sandwiches).

Patrick and Karen Bonin, both New Iberia natives, are the co-brand owners.

"New Iberia is our hometown, and we're excited about bringing something we both love so much here," Patrick Bonin told KLFY TV-10.

“The response from the community has been incredible so far, and we’re really excited to finally get moving on this project and eventually provide everyone with some delicious cookies and cookie cakes, plus fantastic ice cream made fresh right in the store.”
