When the nominations came out earlier this week for the 72nd annual Emmy Awards, we were not surprised to see a Louisiana native in the running. Congratulations to Metairie native Mark Duplass, who was nominated for his role as executive producer "Chip" in the Apple TV+ series "The Morning Show." The popular series also stars Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, so Duplass is definitely in good company. He is nominated in Apple's flagship show for outstanding supporting actor in a TV drama series. The show premiered Nov 1, 2019.

But you might recognize Duplass from some of his other amazing roles. He has also starred in television shows like "The Mindy Project", "Goliath", "Big Mouth", and "The League". And he's made appearances on the big screen, in movies like "Zero Dark Thirty", "Creep", "The Lazarus Effect", and starred twice with actress Charlize Theron, in "Bombshell" and "Tully".

But Duplass is not just a stellar presence in front of the cameras. He and his brother Jay also were executive producers and creators for the HBO late-night, half-hour anthology series "Room 104." Check out his entire film career on IMDb, and his interview with IMDb below. We are wishing Mark good luck on the Emmy Awards, which will be broadcast live on ABC on September 20.
