In the State of Louisiana we have many reasons to be proud. Our incredible culture, our amazing music and the incredible food have brought us notoriety around the world. We also have many great citizens that shine a positive light on our state. One of those shining examples of what is great about Louisiana is Lacey Sanchez, our Miss Louisiana.

Lacey has already been a bright star in the Acadiana sky. Representing the City of Lafayette at the Miss Louisiana Pageant , Lacey earned the crown of Miss Louisiana. She is now working toward her goal of bringing Louisiana its first ever Miss America crown. In case you were wondering Ali Landry was a Miss USA, not Miss America.

One of the ways that we can help Lacey in her quest for the crown is show our support in the America's Choice portion of the pageant.

Voting will continue until 11:59pm on Thursday September 11th, so vote now and please pass the link along to friends and family on your Facebook Page too.

In addition to being a very  beautiful young woman, Lacey is also a college athlete. She has competed as part of the LSU Track Team. Her specialty event is the pole vault. Her platform for the Miss Louisiana Pageant was entitled "Designed To Move". Let's see if we can't all help Lacey move forward in the Miss America Pageant which will be televised on ABC TV, KATC TV 3 on Sunday September 14th at 8pm live from Atlantic City New Jersey.
