A 76-year-old Lafayette resident was found safe last night after being reported as missing. Law enforcement officials had alerted the community that 76-year-old Hazel Hebert was reported missing late Thursday afternoon. There was cause for concern for Mrs. Hebert's safety as she suffers from early stages of dementia.

The good news is Mrs. Hebert was located by Scott Police late last night. Her condition was reported to be good and she has been reunited with her family. There were concerns that due to Mrs. Hebert's medical condition, she might have become confused with her Acadiana surroundings and attempted to return to original home in Cameron Parish.
