The Louisiana Monarch Butterfly Project, and LARC's Acadian Village will host the grand opening of the permanent Monarch Butterfly Habitat on Saturday, April 27th. Acadian Village is located at 200 Greenleaf Dr. in Lafayette, and the one of a kind butterfly habitat is located on the grounds of the historic village.

Activities will be held from 10:00 am-2:00 pm, and will include free admission, and a tour of the first phase of the monarch's new home. According to the official Facebook page 'Guests will be able to view the dozens of Monarch eggs and caterpillars and butterflies and learn the importance of the Monarchs to the environment.'
