Murder at Nudist Resort Blamed on ‘Wiener’
(KMDL-FM) As Louisiana has slipped into summertime time I would hazard to guess that more than a few of us have contemplated ditching our clothing as a final way to beat the heat. Granted, heat is nothing new to Louisiana, but we have gotten more than our fair share of above-average temperatures just in the past week.
I can't say from personal experience, but it would make sense that the folks at Indian Hills Family Nudist Park near Slidell are enjoying the warm summer temperatures. Since they do operate one of Louisiana's only clothing-optional resorts, it would stand to reason that the warmer temperatures would make things a lot more comfortable for the guests who stay there.
What Is It Like Inside a Clothing-Optional Resort?
The people we've interviewed on the subject all speak about how laid-back and welcoming the atmosphere is. Just like people don't wear clothes, they don't put on any "airs" either. In other words, it's just people being people, except they aren't wearing the clothing you'd expect them to wear.
However, not all who are naked are chill, such was the case last August when a report out of Redlands, California, surfaced suggesting that two members of a residential RV park and nudist resort had gone missing.

According to reports, after an extensive search, the bodies of Stephanie Menard and her husband, Daniel Menard, were found in bags in a concrete bunker beneath the prime suspect in the case's home. Michael Royce Sparks has been charged in connection with the case.
It was reported that Sparks confessed to another inmate that he killed his former neighbors by brutally beating them with a rake, a hoe, and a hammer. Sparks allegedly admitted to drowning the couple's dog Cuddles in a sink.
How Did a Wiener Cause a Murder at a Nudist Colony?
Based on court reporting, Sparks and the Menards had a history of bad blood between them, but apparently, the last straw in their tumultuous relationship had to do with a hot dog. It seems Menard offered Sparks a hot dog, and he, Sparks, took exception to the offer, feeling the "offer of a dollar hot dog made him feel like he was only worth a dollar"

The case has come as a shock to many who choose to live the "naturalist" lifestyle. While clothing optional might not seem the norm to most, those who choose that lifestyle generally have little issue with crimes in and around their resorts or communities. Most clothing-optional venues have strict protocols in place, and the people within the community tend to look out for each other.
