New Iberia Man Dies In Pedestrian Crash

47-year-old Ken Delahoussaye of New Iberia was fatally hit by a vehicle as he was trying to cross the road to help a driver involved in a previous crash.

La. State Police say the incident happened around 9:15 p.m. Thursday on the US 90 eastbound frontage road near Darnall Road in Iberia Parish. Delahoussaye was struck by a car headed westbound and driven by 26-year-old Jerry Reaux of New Iberia.

Authorities say impairment is not suspected, but standard toxicology samples are being analyzed. The investigation continues.
