New Iberia Police Searching For Hit And Run Driver

Police in New Iberia are asking for your help in locating a vehicle and the person who was operating that vehicle when it struck a bicyclist last night. According to police, the crash occurred on Center Street in New Iberia near the Chase Bank about 7:30 last night (Nov. 5).

The vehicle in question is a Ford passenger vehicle. Police suspect the vehicle might be missing its passenger side mirror. The vehicle might also have damage on the passenger side. The suspect vehicle was last seen turning on to Cape Palos in the direction of Admiral Doyle Drive.

The bicyclist was taken from the scene to a Lafayette hospital where they are reported to have sustained significant injuries. If you know the whereabouts of this vehicle or its driver you are encouraged to contact New Iberia Police (337) 369-2306.
