NEW ORLEANS, La. - If you love to eat out when visiting New Orleans, there are a couple of hotspots you may want to check out if you enjoy a good brunch. Those two restaurants have been featured by Food Network in their list of the top 10 brunch dishes in America.

The Food Network's Top 10 series highlights standout dishes across various categories with insight from some of America's top chefs. Their list on top brunches features two restaurants in the Big Easy.
No. 9: The Crawfish Beignet at Katie's Restaurant & Bar
Ranking ninth on the list is the Crawfish Beignet at Katie's Restaurant & Bar. The Mid-City restaurant located at 3701 Iberville Street has been a neighborhood favorite since 1984, serving up delicious Creole comfort food and cocktails.
The highlighted Crawfish Beignet is as good as it sounds. It's made with crawfish, cheddar cheese, mozzarella, jalapenos, caramelized onions and a jalapeno aioli.

This isn't the first time this dish has gotten love from Food Network. The Crawfish Beignet from Katie's was once featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" starring Guy Fieri.
No. 1: The Cochon de Lait Eggs Benedict at Commander's Palace
The other delight to make Food Network's list of best brunch items is the Cochon De Lait Eggs Benedict at Commander's Palace, which is located at 1403 Washington Avenue. That dish actually topped the list.
The Cochon De Lait Eggs Benedict at this legendary New Orleans restaurant features barbecue pork shoulder, buttermilk biscuits, a sauce forestière with roasted mushrooms and caramelized onions, soft poached eggs and a tasso hollandaise. (I've had it and it's quite delicious!)
Congrats to both restaurants on making this national list. It never hurts to put another proverbial "feather in the cap."
