The NFAC has responded to Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins canceling a meeting that was set to take place this weekend.

Earlier today, Congressman Clay Higgins issued a statement that expressed his disappointment in a phone call being shared publicly on social media when he intended for it to be a private conversation between him and the leader of the NFAC.

Higgins also went on to clarify that, despite admitting that some of his assumptions about the group were wrong and seemingly extending an olive branch after making threats toward the NFAC on Facebook, he did not apologize.

Our media partners at KATC reached out to the NFAC for comment and they issued the following statement in response to Congressman Higgins' cancellation.

We are disappointed in the Congressman. His apology was accepted. He has shown he is not a man of his word. He has no remorse for threatening U.S. Citizens.

The NFAC is still planning to march on downtown Lafayette this Saturday and you can read more on that via the original story here.
