Nine Children Injured, One Serious, in New Orleans School Bus Crash
Nine students were injured Wednesday morning after a school bus overturned on I-10 in New Orleans.
The Advocate reports that the bus was carrying 14 children to Singleton Charter School in New Orleans when it overturned at the bottom of the high rise.
One of the students is reportedly in serious condition.
The crash happened around 7:00 am and closed the road for a short period. I-10 westbound has since reopened.
According to former City Councilman Jim Singleton (who founded Singleton Charter), six students were taken to University Medical Center and another three were taken to Children's Hospital. The other children were picked up by their parents.
There has been no information released yet as to the cause of the crash.
