Nissan has expanded a previous recall to an additional 45,000 vehicles after a Louisiana Woman was recently injured from shrapnel after an airbag deployment.

The Woman was driving a 2006 Nissan Sentra, a car that wasn't included in Nissan's previous recall. The problem seems to be with the airbag manufacturing by Takata Corp.

The recall expansion covers Sentra compacts from the 2004 through 2006 model years in high-humidity states mainly along the U.S. Gulf Coast. The original recall back in November 2014 only included several Infiniti and Nissan models, including some 2004 to 2006 Sentras.

It's estimated there could be as many as 30 million vehicles with Takata air bags across the U.S.
