Nothing Bundt Cakes Reveals Major Menu Shake Up
(KMDL-FM) Believe it or not, there was a time when Bundt Cakes were a "new thing". Okay, if you want to stay true to history, the popular cakes in the fancy pans with the hole in the middle came to be in the 1950s.
Now you can find the popular cakes at Nothing Bundt Cake Stores in cities like Baton Rouge, Bossier City, and Lafayette in Louisiana. Or Houston, Dallas, Beaumont, and San Antonio in Texas. But for a lot of us of a certain age, we first experienced a Bundt Cake in the late 60s and early 70s. And who do we have to thank?
No, that's not the guy from Ghostbusters, that's Poppin' Fresh, the Pillsbury Doughboy. You see, Bundt Cakes may have been introduced historically in the 1950s, but they didn't gain traction with mainstream America until some smart home baker decided to enter a recipe for Bundt Cakes in the Pillsbury Bake-Off.
When Did Bundt Cakes Become Popular in Mainstream America?
Fast forward a few years to 1997, and you'll find Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz, the innovators and creators of the Nothing Bundt Cakes brand that we know and love today. And I do mean we love those cakes. The brand always ranks highly on Yelp's Most Loved Lists, and from what we've seen and tasted, there should be no reason for those accolades to fade.

Texas has the most locations of Nothing Bundt Cakes in the nation. You can find 112 locations in the Lone Star State. In Louisiana, you can find eleven locations of the brand, and on almost any given day, you can find a crowd streaming in to enjoy a bit of a sweet treat and break from the ordinary.

Like many great businesses, Nothing Bundt Cakes strives to keep its choices innovative and top of mind, and sometimes that means having to say goodbye to a flavor that many people like. Well, if you are a fan of the Banana Pudding Bundlet, you'd better act fast because you've only got until July 20th to enjoy that at your favorite Nothing Bundt Cakes location.
If you're a regular at the store, you may have noticed earlier this week that a new flavor popped up on the menu would be the Lemon Raspberry Cake. Think of it as the "summer replacement" for the banana pudding-themed recipe.
What is the New Flavor of Cake Available This Summer at Nothing Bundt Cakes?
They call the Lemon Raspberry Cake a part of the Summer Vibes Collection. It was offered in stores last year along with the popular Key Lime and Churro Dulce de Leche flavors.
From what we understand, the new cake will be available in all sizes, including the personal-sized bundtlets, until September 7th of this year. So, if that's your "jam," you might want to stop by your hometown location a few times between now and then.
And if a Bundt Cake does seem to settle your sweet tooth, you might want to give some of these unique treats a try.
