Ochsner Lafayette General will be administering COVID-19 testing this Friday and flu shots on Saturday.

COVID-19 testing will happen from 8 am to 4 pm on Friday, October 23 at the Domingue Center located at 901 Mudd Avenue in Lafayette.

Ochsner Lafayette General says that testing is open to Louisiana residents of all ages and those who may be asymptomatic.

Those wishing to be tested should bring a valid ID and insurance card, if applicable. There are no out-of-pocket expenses for those seeking a test and no one will be turned away based on their insurance status.

Testing will be conducted in a drive-thru setting and everyone should remain in the vehicle. No more than four people should be in the vehicle when testing. Anyone who walks up, bikes up, or is dropped off by public transportation will be accommodated.

Those tested should receive their results within 3-5 days via the MyHealth patient portal. Those with positive results will also be contacted by phone.

Ochsner Lafayette General will also be providing drive-thru flu shots on Saturday. This event will take place from 8 am to 1 pm at the Northgate Mall (Castille Road Entrance).

Vaccines will be administered to patients 18 and older. Masks must be worn and patients should remain in their vehicles.

Members of the community should bring a valid ID and insurance card, if applicable. There are no out-of-pocket costs for those who receive the flu vaccine.
