Officer-Involved Shooting Being Investigated in Lafayette

An officer-involved shooting on Lafayette's north side is under investigation. It started this afternoon near the intersection of St. Bernadette Drive and Rue Royale. Our news partners at KATC are reporting that a suspect was being pulled over for warrants. The chase ended up at a location on East Pont des Mouton. He tried to run from an officer and allegedly fired shots at them. The officer returned fire. There is no word on injuries at this time.
