Why Movie Equipment Theft Is Such A Big Deal
Film equipment theft can create major problems for production crews because many of the cameras, lenses, lighting rigs, and audio tools used in filmmaking are extremely expensive and specialized.
In Louisiana, the film industry continues to play a major role in the economy, with productions regularly filming throughout Acadiana and surrounding areas. When equipment disappears, productions can face delays, extra expenses, and even canceled filming schedules.
