One Injured in Apartment Complex Shooting Near Crowley

Deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Department say a shooting at a Crowley area apartment complex has sent one person to the hospital. The victim's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening at this time.

APSO investigators say about 4 pm yesterday there was a report of shots fired at the Kathy Apartment complex. When deputies arrived on the scene they discovered the victim and arranged for emergency medical care.

Deputies also detained two persons of interest in connection with the case. As of early this morning, we have not received notification of charges filed or an update on the victim's condition. The investigation is ongoing and the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Department is expected to release more information on the case as it becomes available.
