Opelousas Fire Leaves 8 People Without Homes

A fire that broke out Wednesday morning at a home on Lemoine Street in Opelousas has left 8 people without homes, according to our news partners at KATC.

Both duplexes were fully engulfed in flames and are a total loss. The fire has since been extinguished.

Everyone made it out safely after neighbors helped them get out. There are no injuries reported.

The investigation continues as they are trying to figure out the cause.
