Acadiana has always been a hot bed of unique Cajun and Zydeco music, which you can hear on Grammy Award winning releases, and on movie soundtracks. The latest local musicians to hit the big time are V.J. Boulet and Bobby Page, who's music can be found in the Academy Award winning Best Picture of the Year 'Green Book'. The movie was partially filmed in New Orleans and at Houmas House Plantation and Gardens, so it was no surprise that the producers wanted to use authentic tunes to set the tone of the era, which was the 1960's, and area.

The name of their song is 'I Love My Baby', and it was recorded in the 50's when both men were attending Rayne High School, and in a band called 'Bobby and the Riff Raffs'.

VJ Boulet is our co worker at KROF Radio, and has his own swamp pop show on Saturdays from noon - 5:00 pm, so we are extremely proud and excited about his latest accomplishment! Check out their interview about the movie, and their song, on KLFY below. Congrats, you two, and thank you for representing Acadiana so well!
