Dulles Drive between Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Westgate Road needs some improvements. If you've ever driven that seven-tenths of a mile roadway you can probably tell me from personal experience what those improvements need to be can't you?

Lafayette Consolidated Government has heard your frustrations and has announced plans to widen that roadway. The project, estimated to be $7.8 million dollars, will widen the roadway into three lanes. There will also be turn lanes added at the intersections.

The turn lanes should ease congestion faced by motorists who are attempting to traverse Domingue Road and Westgate Road. In fact, a roundabout is planned for the well-traveled intersection with Domingue Road. This should make north/south travel between Dulles and Ridge Road a lot more efficient.

A lot of us savvy drivers use Domingue Road as an alternative to Ambassador Caffery Parkway. It's also known as the back road to Walmart.

The plan also includes improvements for drainage along the roadway too. According to reports, the project is ready to bid. However, there has been no official timetable announced on when the project might begin or be completed.
