Powerball – $50,000 Winning Ticket Sold In Louisiana
Saturday night was a busy night across South Louisiana. While many people were enjoying an LSU victory over Ole Miss at Tiger Stadium at least one other person was likely celebrating a pretty substantial financial windfall.
The Saturday, September 29th, Powerball drawing did not yield a jackpot winner. No, no one ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers and the Powerball. One ticket sold in Louisiana did happen to come close to cashing in $213 million jackpot.
That ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball. Here are the numbers for Saturday, September 29, 2018.
Louisiana Lottery Officials say the $50,000 winning ticket was purchased at the Circle K located at Bluebonnet Road in Baton Rouge. Perhaps someone was in town for the football game and stopped in for a cold drink, some gas, and $50,000 in lottery winnings.
The next Powerball drawing will be worth an estimated $229 million for Wednesday's drawing. Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot continues to grow as well. It's estimated to be near $367 million for Tuesday night's drawing.
