Pritchard Called to Serve as Senior Pastor For First Baptist

Lafayette's First Baptist Church has announced that Dr. James Pritchard has been called to serve that congregation and church body as its Senior Pastor. The announcement was made yesterday by the church.

Dr. Pritchard has served as the Teaching Pastor at First Baptist Church of Forney Texas since 2015. Prior to that service, Dr. Pritchard pastored three other churches in Texas and Oklahoma.

Dr. Pritchard and his wife Kim have five children. Officials with First Baptist in Lafayette say that Dr. Pritchard will begin his ministry in Lafayette on Easter Sunday. Dr. Pritchard replaces Dr. Steve Horn who was called last year to become the leader of the Louisiana Baptists Convention.
