Pro Eater Will Attempt Record Number of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers
How many Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers can you eat in one sitting?
Well, that's not enough to win.
One professional eater is going to attempt to break the current Raising Cane's Chicken Finger record this month on National Chicken Finger Day, July 27th.
Joey Chestnut, the man known for shoving a record 76 hot dogs down his gullet in 10 minutes, will attempt to break the current Raising Cane's Chicken Finger Eating record.
According to WAFB, Chestnut is not only a hot dog eating champion, but he has also mastered cramming other popular foods into his ever-expanding stomach.
Of course, his hot dog prowess is well-known: he's won the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Championship a record 15 times. He's also set the National McDonald's Big Mac eating contest by downing 32 of them in just over a half hour.
And red beans and rice is no match for him, either. WAFB reports that he once guided 25 pounds of red beans and rice down his craw in 8 minutes. (No word on whether he used a funnel or not.)
And now, he's set to attempt the Raising Cane's Chicken Finger Eating record!
What's the current record? I have no clue, as there's no record of a record on the intrawebz.
But I did find one record among records on the Major League Eating website: a woman by the name of Sonya Thomas once ate nearly 7 pounds of Buffalo Chicken Tenders in 10 minutes. That was back in March of 2010.
I believe Chestnut will be able to make that record look like chicken scratch.
